Jordi Savall is widely credited with the rebirth of the viola da gamba and his ongoing musicological research has made him a major force in the revival of early music. Conducting the historical ensembles he founded (Hespèrion XXI, le Concert des Nations and La Capella Reial de Catalunya), he offers the audience a musical journey back to a refined time, from Medieval to Baroque music.
