Wiener Maiblumen is a mesmerizing musical experience that perfectly captures the essence of fin‐de‐siècle Viennese sounds. Anchored by the extraordinary soprano Lenneke Ruiten, this romantic programme seamlessly intertwines music with the revered literary works of great masters. Alongside beautiful songs and instrumental poems by renowned composers such as Schubert and Lehár, the performance includes an exceptional rendition of Richard Dehmel's poem Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night) set in Schönberg's signature late‐romantic style. To add a touch of nostalgic charm, the evening will also feature timeless operetta classics that truly evoke a sense of longing.
