Indulge in an evening of sensuous Romanticism. Acclaimed worldwide for the intensity and depth of his interpretations, and accompanied by Paolo Giacometti, cellist Peter Wispelwey brings his gifts to bear on two of the great Romantics. Brahms' two cello sonatas, composed twenty years apart, present very different perspectives on the world, while two works from late in Schubert's life — the Fantaisie in C and the 'Arpeggione' Sonata — offer a rich display of the composer's genius and cause to regret a life cut tragically short.
