The Three Tenors: Opera Arias at the Palazzetto Bru Zane

About the Event

Indulge in the sound of three great tenor voices and enjoy arias by Offenbach, Hervé, Hahn and others in the magnificent Palazzetto Bru Zane in Venice.

By the end of the 18th century — especially in Mozart — the trio of equal voices was used effectively and made possible the staging of groups of characters previously known only from spoken theatre — such as the three witches in Shakespeare´s Macbeth. In the light repertoire, they added depth to the plot and placed the protagonists in a social context. From a musical point of view, the tenor trios allowed the composer to emphasize, through the affinity of sound, the connectedness or tension between the different characters.
