Strauss and Beethoven: Summer Concerts at Concertgebouw
About the Event
The Aurora Orchestra performs Strauss' last composition for orchestra and Beethoven's 'Eroica' symphony under the baton of Nicholas Collon.
With his 'Metamorphoses' Strauss bid the world and his creative work farewell. The sombre and dark theme can be felt throughout the work especially towards the end at which the first beats of Beethoven's Funeral March can be heard.

Robeco SummerNights presents two months of wonderful concerts, from classical music to jazz and from cabaret to film scores. Top musicians from the Netherlands and around the world bring you all your favorite classical pieces, as well as some surprises! In the beautiful Mirror Hall there is a summer restaurant where you can enjoy a three‐course dinner before the concert. You can also take a look backstage before the concert with one of the Concertgebouw's concert hall tours. (The tour is not included in the ticket price and can only be booked on the spot)
