About the Event
In the middle of the 17th century, the great Carissimi laid the foundations for the Italian sacred music to come. In Jephte, he entrusts moving pages to soloists while distilling choirs with admirable counterpoint. Seven decades later, with his monumental Stabat Mater, Domenico Scarlatti animates a polyphony turned towards the past with dazzlingly modern harmonies. With their usual perfection and immense energy, Lionel Meunier and Vox Luminis grab each other's bodies for an unforgettable evening!
