The last of the five one‐act operatic farces composed by Rossini between 1810 and 1813, "Il Signor Bruschino" tells a delightful story full of disguise, errors, and deceits, with music typical of Rossini's vibrant style, alternating between humorous folly and moments of tenderness and melancholy.
