Rameau's Zaïs with Christophe Rousset: Theater and der Wien

About the Event

Early Music specialist Rousset brings his elite band Les Talens Lyriques to Vienna.

They're joined by vocal stars Julian Pregardien and Sandrine Piau for a concert performance of Rameau's opera "Zaïs", about love between the mortal and immortal worlds. Rameau's music divided opinion: some found the dissonances too ugly, but for others, his harmonic exploration was new and exciting.
