About the Event

Not long ago, the young French trumpeter Lucienne Renaudin Vary emerged in the music world, garnering attention for her exceptional talent. Despite her relatively short career, she has already achieved what few musicians accomplish in a lifetime.

Born in 1999, Lucienne Renaudin Vary demonstrated her musical prowess at a young age, winning the first prize in the Selmer‐Le Parnasse competition in January 2010, when she was just 11 years old. This was followed by an impressive third prize at the Concours Européen des Jeunes Trompettistes in Alençon, competing against musicians in the 14‐17 age category. Her virtuosity and maturity earned her first prizes in all the competitions she entered, making her the only musician to win the Concours de Petites Mains Symphoniques in both the classical and jazz categories. As a result, she has been invited to perform as a soloist at prestigious festivals such as the International Vladimir Spivakov Festival in Moscow and the Festival Classique au Vert, and has collaborated with renowned ensembles like the London Chamber Orchestra and Vladimir Ashkenazy.

Now, the acclaimed Lucienne Renaudin Vary is set to captivate the audience at the Prague Proms festival, where she will be performing at a concert in St. Agnes Monastery. Accompanied by the CNSO Chamber Soloists under the artistic direction of Alexej Rosík, she will also be joined by two exceptional Czech trumpeters, Jiří Houdek and Jan Hykrda. During the concert, listeners can anticipate hearing the enchanting compositions of A. Vivaldi, A. Marcello, and G. Ph. Telemann.
