The Philharmonia Orchestra London performs two unique German works under the leadership of Christoph von Dohnányi.

Schubert’s 'Great' Symphony in C major from the early 19th century spans a bridge between the Classical and Romantic eras, while Berg’s Violin Concerto from the 1930s beautifully combines echoes of late Romanticism and Expressionism with compositional principles of modern music.
