The singing was tres formidable, as was the orchestra. The dramaturge was sensational. The sets were very clever, with Tromphe l'oeil aplenty. A Deus‐ex‐machina or two, for good measure, which did not distract from the music. The chorus was crisp, exact and on song. Marrianne Crebassa was simply exhilerating, with control and range beyond compare.
