Love Songs at the crypt: Mozart, Schubert, Brahms and others

About the Event

Experience classical love songs like never before in this astonishing performance at Vienna's remarkable Krypta Peterskirche.

Love in all its facets — from wishful dreaming to fulfillment to longing and melancholy: Austrian soprano Maria Kahry is able to paint a moving picture around the theme of love with her deeply felt emotion and her warm soprano. Normally she shines in big roles like 'Tosca' or 'Norma', but in the intimate setting of the crypt the popular artist shows a very personal side.

Maximilian Schamschula accompanies her on the piano and his sensitive playing perfectly complements the performances of the two. Together they offer a song evening in a class of its own.

The Krypta, established as the smallest theater in Austria, convinces not only with the high quality of its song recitals and opera performances, but also with its unusual venue. Located deep beneath St. Peter's Church in Vienna, the Krypta allows for personal and unforgettable classical music experiences.
