Leonidas Kavakos & Enrico Pace Duo Recital at the Pierre Boulez Saal
About the Event
Five years ago, Leonidas Kavakos and Enrico Pace released their award‐winning first joint recording of Beethoven violin sonatas. Now the Greek violinist and his Italian piano partner make their debuts at Berlin’s new concert hall. In addition to George Enescu’s Third Violin Sonata—a piece inspired by Romanian folk music—the program also includes two compositions by Kavakos’s compatriot Nikos Skalkottas, a student of Schoenberg, whose works form a program focus at the Pierre Boulez Saal this season.
