Julia Fischer in Recital: Konzerthaus Berlin

About the Event

Indulge in an evening of music from the lands that once formed the Austro‐Hungarian Empire. Julia Fischer returns to the Konzerthaus, accompanied by Aris Alexander Blettenberg, to play Mozart, Schubert, Dvořák, and Szymanowski.

Schubert's Rondo Brillante and Dvořák's 'Romance' are long‐established favorites of the violin repertoire, while Szymanowski's 'Sonata for violin' is beginning to gain a similar popularity as the composer's works return to the forefront of classical performances in all genres. However, Mozart's Sonata no. 32 is one of the genre's great classics — almost a double concerto, it places equal emphasis on violin and piano to create a tight‐knit partnership.
