About the Event
The Mass in B minor is the vocal testament of the Cantor of Leipzig: he introduces a luminous gallant style without giving up a sublime contrapuntal complexity, operating a synthesis of the old and the new aproach to composing. Vox Luminis in their turn approaches this monumental work with a set of soloists close to the reduced strength that Bach undoubtedly used himself, far from the excessive size of choirs that are often used nowadays.

L'interprétation de la Messe en si mineur de Bach à l'église de Saint Roch à Paris aura été magnifique et profondément digne. La chorale était pratiquement conformée par des solistes, tellement était haute la qualité de l'ensemble. De même, l'orchestre jouant en instrument d'époque fut splendide. Je suis extrêmement reconnaissant à Classictic de m'avoir facilité l'obtention de mon ticket pour ce concert. C'est évident que j'aurai recours à ses services dorénavant et je recommanderai vivement à mes amis de faire autant. Bravo!
