Jerusalem Quartet: Beethoven, Debussy, Shostakovich

About the Event

The famous Jerusalem Quartet has been appearing on the world's most important concert stages since 1996 and will perform works by Beethoven, Debussy and Shostakovich at the Konzerthaus Berlin.

The evening opens with Beethoven's lighthearted fifth of six quartets Opus 18. In stark contrast to this is the next work, Claude Debussy's only contribution to the genre. Closing the concert is Shostakovich's second quartet, composed a few months before the end of the Second World War.
