Hathor Consort & Pluto‐ensemble & Oltremontano

About the Event

The flawless voices of Pluto Ensemble (with Marnix De Cat), the authentic string sounds of Hathor (with Romina Lischka) and the unparalleled wind instruments of Oltremontano (with Wim Becu) combine to form a colourful programme with music by Schütz and Monteverdi, but, also, equally worthy unknowns such as Guammi, Valentini, Priuli, Hentzel and Stadlmayr. What makes this concert so special is Christoph Straus’s hitherto unperformed 17th century requiem for 6 bass viola da gambas and 10 voices. The three ensembles perform together and apart, discover each other’s qualities and transform to become a large, 30‐piece Baroque orchestra.
