Harnoncourt Conducts Mendelssohn

About the Event

Nikolaus Harnoncourt, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Nederlands Kamerkoor offer Mendelssohn's beloved incidental music to a Midsummer Night's Dream. 

The programme begins with Mendelssohn's Psalm 42 'Wie der Hirsch schreit', a piece that Robert Schumann once hailed as representing the highest level that the 'newer' sacred music had attained.
