Game of Anachronisms
About the Event
Almost in a game of anachronisms, Maxim Rysanov, conductor and violist of great sensitivity, leads laVerdi between two masterpieces of the twentieth century that in the past have found their lifeblood: the Rhapsody for viola and orchestra by Martinů (1952), nostalgically addressed with lyricism to the memories of the romantic season, and the Suite by Punchinello (1919), a neoclassical masterpiece by Stravinsky, composed entirely from music at the time attributed to the Baroque genius of G. B. Pergolesi.
