Arias and instrumental works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Christoph Willibald Gluck, Georg Friedrich Händel, Antonio Maria Gaspare Sacchini and Antonio Vivaldi.

The Dresden Festival Orchestra under the direction of Ivor Bolton and one of the world's best countertenors will enter the exciting world of baroque opera during this Christmas concert. Valer Sabadus, celebrated for his pure‐bell voice, will perform famous arias by Handel, Vivaldi and Gluck, ranging from tender melancholy to virtuoso drama. These fine cantilevers are framed by festive orchestra works from the Baroque period — performed by the original orchestra of the Dresden Music Festival.
