Pianist Fazil Say is music in person: composer, performer, arranger… The ease with which he fuses the classical, jazz or traditional is spectacular, and his art is, above all, genuine and sincere.
To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the most renowned Finnish composer, Sibelius, Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra pair a new work from Fazil Say with Sibelius' Fifth Symphony, which was premiered exactly one hundred years ago and has always been enthusiastically welcomed for the naturalism and optimism which it breathes.
