Dvořák's Symphony No. 7 and Van Sambeek solos in Rossini

About the Event

The Seventh Symphony by Dvořák serves as a companion piece to his Eighth Symphony, which was performed by the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra earlier in the current season. While the Eighth Symphony displays a more somber tone, deviating from the typical "Czech" characteristics, it brings the music closer to the style of Brahms. Additionally, the performance includes remarkable virtuoso singing by Bram van Sambeek on the bassoon, who exhibits great skill in Rossini's Bassoon Concerto.
