About the Event
Jane Monheit, the renowned jazz singer, was born in Oakdale, New York in 1977. From an early age, she captivated audiences with her distinctive and engaging vocal style. Even while still a student at the Manhattan School of Music, she displayed her talent by winning second prize at the prestigious vocal competition of the Thelonious Monk Institute. Just two years later, at the age of 20, she released her highly acclaimed debut album, "Never Never Land."
Since then, Jane Monheit has become one of the shining stars of the jazz genre. With twelve albums under her belt, she has received multiple Grammy nominations, firmly establishing her place in the music industry.
