Allow yourself a Slavic evening as the Danel Quartet plays a program of the music they are most famous for. The works of Mieczyslaw Weinberg have been unjustly neglected, but the Danel have made his quartets a cornerstone of their repertoire. The Fifth Quartet, offered here between Borodin and Tchaikovsky's Second Quartets, is atypical in structure, and might almost be a suite, but provides a clear picture of the gifts of the overlooked composer.
