Concerti del Tempietto at Teatro di Marcello: From Beethoven to Piazzolla

In this highly‐anticipated concert, hear the mellifluous sounds of chamber music at Rome's treasured and world‐renowned Sala Baldini al Teatro di Marcello.

This group of international soloists offers us an unusual version of these wonderful works in two versions for piano trio. In the first of them, the German composer C. Reinecke (1824‐1910) manages to capture in a masterful version, all the strength and thematic versatility that the work requires, enriching the soloistic score with the inclusion of the orchestral 'tutti'. As a consequence, the sonorous result obtained with the timbre fusion of the three instruments is surprising.

In this 2021, the figure of A. PIAZZOLLA (1921‐92) emerges with even more force, if possible, on the centenary of his birth. To pay tribute to the great architect of the evolution of Argentine tango, we will listen to his famous and idolized ' ESTACIONES PORTEÑAS ' in the exceptional version of the Russian composer L. Desyatnikov ( 1955‐ ). This work was originally composed for string orchestra and solo violin and is presented in an unpublished version for trio by the soloists themselves.
