Classical Beats, Mammal Hands
Dresden, Reithalle – Kulturzentrum Straße E® — Main Hall
About the Event
Mammal Hands is a highly successful group in the jazz scene today. It all began in 2012 when saxophonist Jordan Smart and pianist Nick Smart met drummer Jesse Barrett while busking on the streets of Norwich, England. Despite their unconventional name and non‐mainstream approach, the trio has achieved great success, releasing five studio albums. Their unique sound is a fusion of spiritual jazz, Electronica, Eastern European and Irish folk, Indian and African music, as well as influences from Minimal Music pioneers like Steve Reich and Philip Glass. The deep connection between the three musicians sometimes feels like telepathy, making their performances truly captivating. Now, they are ready to mesmerize the audience in Dresden with their hypnotic music.
