Symphony No. 9 is the Czech composer's last and best‐known work. It premiered in New York in 1893 and has been thrilling classical music audiences around the world ever since. In this romantic work, Dvořák set to music his impressions during his stay in the still young America as well as his longing for his native Bohemia.

The program also includes Bedřich Smetana's rousing work “The Moldau,” other works by Dvořák, and E. Grieg's famous Peer Gynt Suite.
