The Sound of Christmas
Berlin, Philharmonie Berlin — Grosser Saal
About the Event
It happens every year: Usually, all it takes is one movie to instantly put you in a romantic Christmas mood. For some, it’s *Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella* for others, *Home Alone* or *Little Lord Fauntleroy*. The wonderful soundtracks play a special role in their magic—after all, grandmasters like John Williams and Karel Svoboda were at work here. At the gala film concert “The Sound of Christmas,” you can experience these and many other Christmas classics in a whole new way: The German Film Orchestra Babelsberg and the Berlin Philharmonic Choir will bring this impressive music to life on stage at the Philharmonie. The program includes excerpts from “The Holiday,” “The Polar Express,” and “A Christmas Carol,” among others. An evening filled with romantic Christmas movie magic and magnificent melodies—a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Advent.
Featuring music from the films *Little Lord Fauntleroy*, *Love Actually*, *Miracle on 34th Street*, *Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella*, *Home Alone*, *The Holiday*, *The Polar Express*, *A Christmas Carol*, and many more.
