About the Event

The International Chopin Competition is an institution in the world of piano, having produced such greats as Martha Argerich, Maurizio Pollini, and Daniil Trifonov. This concert presents the current prize winners, who come directly from the final round.
The legendary International Chopin Competition is one of the oldest and most prestigious music competitions, an institution in the piano world, and has produced piano greats such as Martha Argerich, Maurizio Pollini, Daniil Trifonov, Jan Lisiecki, and most recently Bruce Liu. It is one of the few piano competitions dedicated to the work of a single composer, Frédéric Chopin.

Its main goal is to promote young pianists: the winners can look forward to lucrative contracts for concerts in the biggest concert halls, media attention, and worldwide fame. The competition is an emotional rollercoaster ride for the young virtuosos aged between 17 and 28. They spend weeks of tension in Warsaw, wondering who will make it to the next round. Held every five years, it is that time again this fall. Coming straight from the final round, this concert presents the current prize winners of the 2025 competition.
