About the Event
Vladimir Mogilevsky is an official artist of Steinway & Sons and a prize winner and laureate of numerous international festivals and competitions, including the International Prize for the best interpretation of Beethoven's sonata in Portugal, the Grand Prix for a duo recital with Vadim Repin in Macedonia, and the International Music Prize “For Great Achievements in Music” in Berlin. Music Prize for Great Achievements in Music in Berlin. He has made his debut in almost all European countries, Israel, Turkey, China, Mexico, and South Africa. He performs regularly in all the major concert halls in Germany (giving over 100 concerts in total at the Berlin Philharmonic and the Berlin Konzerthaus alone).
He has performed and recorded on original historical keyboard instruments, including those of Mozart, Beethoven, and Liszt. In addition to his concert activities, he also teaches master classes worldwide and is a jury member at various competitions.
He is also passionate about jazz, composing and improvising. Even the legendary Oscar Peterson, whom Vladimir had the privilege of meeting and to whom he dedicated some of his works, greatly appreciated Mogilevsky's music and included it in his archive at the Canadian National Library in 1997.
At the request of Oscar winner Michel Morales Escobar, the music video clip “A Dream in Venice” (“Liebestraum” by Liszt) was filmed with Mogilevsky.
