About the Event
From 2010 to 2025, Antonello Manacorda was principal conductor and artistic director of the Kammerakademie Potsdam starting this season, he will serve as the orchestra's honorary conductor. The collaboration focuses on the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, among others, and has been highly successful: for their recording of Mozart's Symphonies Nos. 39‐41, Antonello Manacorda and the KAP received an OPUS KLASSIK award as “Orchestra of the Year,” and the recording with Golda Schultz (“Mozart, you drive me crazy!”), in which the soprano approaches the female characters in Mozart's Da Ponte operas, was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award.
Golda Schultz, Antonello Manacorda, and the KAP are now bringing excerpts from both recordings to the stage together for the first time.
