About the Event

Since Kit Armstrong entered the world stage of music more than 20 years ago, his art of interpretation has been at least as fascinating as the fact that the pianist owns his own church. It was here that Armstrong's unique success story began: St. Thérèse in the small town of Hirson in northern France became a socio‐cultural center where he lives, gives concerts, and organizes interdisciplinary projects. The artist, who also studied physics, chemistry, and mathematics, performs with the world's best orchestras and has established close artistic partnerships with leading instrumentalists and singers.

In the 2025/26 season, the “unlimitedly versatile” (Deutschlandfunk) keyboard artist will come to Berlin with the orchestra “Le Concert Olympique” and bring his new program “Beethoven 1807” with him. Together with Jan Caeyers, he will present works by the great composer – all of which originated in that golden year of 1807.

Program

  • Johann Sebastian Bach – Präludium und Fuge Nr. 15 G‐Dur BWV 884
  • Ludwig van Beethoven – 4. Konzert für Klavier und Orchester G‐Dur op. 58
