Chamber Music with Kronberg Academy Alumni

About the Event

Rejoice in the rich inheritance Mtislav Rostropovich bequeathed to future generations of cellists. The Konzerthaus Berlin takes up the Kronberg Academy's annual day of celebration, honoring the Academy's founder.

Marie‐Elisabeth Hecker, who won the 2005 Rostropovich Competition as one of its youngest participants, joins 2009 victor Dai Miyata and pianist Martin Helmchen for classics of the cello repertoire, including César Franck's 'Sonata in A Major'.

The Konzerthaus Berlin offers a varied program, from symphonic concerts to chamber music, from musical theater productions to special children's concerts, from early to contemporary music. The season program features many internationally renowned soloists and ensembles, as well as the Konzerthausorchester which has thrilled audiences for over 60 years with more than 100 concerts per season at its house at the Gendarmenmarkt!
