Cantatas and arias by Luigi Rossi: L’Arpeggiata, Christina Pluhar

About the Event

Neapolitan harpist and singer Luigi Rossi was the greatest representative of the first Baroque in Rome, a generation after Monteverdi. With him, the melodic lines acquire a new dimension, with voluptuous curves. Drawing a particular attention to the precious manuscripts donated to Anne of Austria as well as to the two magnificent masterpieces (Il Palazzo incantato (Rome, 1642) and L'Orfeo (Paris, 1647)), Christina Pluhar, surrounded by her favorite singers, presents the master pieces by composer whom she has magnificently glorified for fifteen years. Be prepared for an evening in the form of an exclusive event!

Acoustiquement la salle n'est pas la meilleure pour ce genre de musique. Mais sinon une grande soirée de la musique baroque!
