Bychkov & Concertgebouw Orchestra: Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov

About the Event

The Concertgebouw Orchestra and Semyon Bychkov present an all‐Russian program featuring works by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff.

Tchaikovsky regularly drew inspiration from the works of Shakespeare. In his symphonic poem Romeo and Juliet, the famous story can be heard in an entirely instrumental version. Tchaikovsky's opera Eugene Onegin is also based on a tragic love story. Rachmaninoff is best known for his piano concertos, symphonies, and the symphonic dances – powerful and ominous works. Enjoy this romantic program at the Concertgebouw.
