Bruckner, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia
Rome, Auditorium Parco della Musica — Sala Santa Cecilia
About the Event
Semyon Bychkov conducts the Eighth Symphony, one of the most imposing and magnificent compositions in the entire history of music.
Bruckner's Eighth Symphony was composed and revised for over six years, which tells us something about the work's complexity but should not mislead us. It was the abundance of ideas and working them all through, that kept the composer busy for so long.
