Indulge in a lunchtime of musical escapism with four of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic's most experienced and accomplished string players.

Playing Beethoven's Serioso Quartet — the last of the great master's middle period — and Wolf's best‐known instrumental work, the 'Italian Serenade', the quartet complete the program with celebrated Swedish composer Madeleine Isaksson's Stråkvåg or 'String Wave'. Described as 'a musical microdrama', the work employs many of the techniques of Isaksson's predecessors, but reimagines them in a distinctly contemporary fashion.
