Beethoven, Sibelius: Sebastian Knauer & Konzerthausorchester Berlin

About the Event

Pianist Sebastian Knauer and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, under the baton of Thomas Dausgaard, will perform two seminal works: Beethoven's 4th Piano Concerto and Sibelius's Symphony No. 1.

The Beethoven concerto, written in 1805‐06 is considered to be one of the central pieces of the piano concert canon. The symphony of Sibelius, premiered nearly one hundred years later, is noted for its use of several woodwind and string solos.
