Drawn from Munich's top orchestras, the Residenz Solisten have been the resident musicians of Munich's exquisite palace for over twenty years. Works ranging from Vivaldi to Gershwin fill the air with music in the Residenzschloss' famous Cuvilliés Theatre, site of the premiere of Idomeneo in 1781, the Allerheiligen Court Chapel and Herkulessaal, among other exquisite venues, or at the Nymphenburg Palace, echoing the musical tradition of a court that welcomed such performers as the young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart himself. Karsten Gebhardt leads his musicians in over 40 concerts between Christmas and New Year, with further regular performances delighting audiences throughout the year.
