Hear the Chinese premiere of Arnold Shoenberg's greatest success performed by famous choirs and soloists in the Shanghai Symphony Hall.
The story told in the Gurre‐Lieder goes back to the legend of the Danish king Valdemar who fell in love with the beautiful Tove. Valdemar's queen, however, murdered Tove out of jealousy from which moment on the king wandered around his castle restlessly.
