Arcángel: Seville Opera House
About the Event
Does classical music contrast with flamenco? Is it possible for two seemingly so distant genres to come together? The answer is: Arcángel. It took a fearless cantor like Arcángel from the Andalusian province of Huelva, close to the flamenco tradition but always open to innovation, daring and avant‐garde, to venture the crossing from the shore of arias or interludes from Il Trovatore, The Barber of Seville or Madama Butterfly or scores of zarzuela to the beach of flamenco.
