Revel in the young German virtuoso's unrivalled control over her violin. Playing with the Stavanger Symphony, under the baton of Venezuelan Christian Vásquez — himself a gifted violinist — Steinbacher plays a program of intensely French works.

Interspersed with overtures from some of the nineteenth century's most successful and dramatic operas, including Tannhäuser and La Forza del Destino, Saint‐Saëns' daring 'Introduction and Rondo Cappriccioso and Chausson's rhapsodic Poème demonstrate two facets of the violinist's art.
