Allow yourself to be carried away by Bach's moving St. John Passion and listen to the sounds of the Bach specialists of the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and the RIAS Kammerchor conducted by Justin Doyle.
Bach's music is so splendid and richly orchestrated that the Passion of Jesus almost feels like an opera. Although today the St. John Passion is shaded by Bach's much more famous St. Matthew Passion, this does not detract from its rousing beauty and moving sound language.
