Xavier de Maistre & Lü Shao‐chia: Shanghai Symphony Orchestra
About the Event
Xavier de Maistre, one of the most versatile harpists in the world, will perform a famous guitar work arranged for harp – Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez under the baton of Taiwanese conductor Lü Shao‐chia. Brahms’ Symphony No.3 is featured on the program in the second half. This great symphony can be seen as Brahms’ own ‘Eroica’, his own heroic symphony.

As Asia’s oldest orchestra, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra brought Western classical music to China.
