The prestigious WDR Rundfunkorchester Köln performs one of its resident conductor Jukka‐Pekka Saraste's favourite works: Tchaikovsky's Pathétique Symphony.

Cellist Natalia Gutman has come to occupy a place in the music world previously reserved for Mstislav Rostropovich. Unlike her extroverted compatriot, Gutman is the very model of restraint and humility in everything but her playing, which exhibits a wonderful, fiery exuberance.
