Edo de Waart & Shanghai Symphony Orchestra

About the Event

Like many of his late works, Brahms’ Symphony No.4 is a work of autumn. When writing the Finale, he must have been thinking of the other two of ‘the 3B’s’ – Bach and Beethoven. This magnificent Passagalia shows a clear inheritance of Bach’s Chaconne and Beethoven’s finale of ‘Eroica’. Enjoy this performance under the baton of Edo de Waart.

Conductor: Edo de Waart
Viola: Ba Tong
