Angela Denoke Recital: Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona

Soprano Angela Denoke will sing a recital dedicated to Kurt Weill at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona's famous Opera House.

'Two lives to live': such is the title of this recital dedicated to Kurt Weill which was first given at the 2011 Salzburg Festival. After a fruitful European career in partnership with Berthold Brecht, Weill embarked on another equally successful career in the United States.

Arias, songs and scenes from Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny (Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny), Der Silbersee, Die Dreigroschenoper (The Threepenny Opera), Happy End, Lady in the Dark, One Touch of Venus, Street Scene, Firebrand of Florence, Knickerbocker Holiday, Love Life and Lost in the Stars.

In some areas of the Gran Teatre del Liceu it is possible to be seated with a partially obstructed view of the stage. The Gran Teatre del Liceu recommends Zone 2 for the finest and completely unobstructed view of the performance. The stage is not visable from seats starting in row 2 of Zone 8. A monitor is provided for following the performance in this section. Only available for operas.
