On the first weekend of Advent, Austrian mountain air will once again permeate Berlin when atmospheric, fairytale‐like sounds from the snow‐covered Salzkammergut will once again resound in the French Cathedral on the Gendarmenmarkt. Here, genuine, unadulterated folk music from the Alps is performed and wonderful Advent magic is spread. The artists tell stories with their songs and celebrate music on their traditional instruments, the likes of which are rarely heard in the capital.
