Welcome to 'Venice Baroque y Tango Argentino', a concert combining the enchanting atmosphere of baroque music with the enveloping energy of the Argentine tango, within the majestic halls of Palazzo Zeno in Venice. This unique evening will be made even more magical thanks to the extraordinary line‐up of the Opera Tango Ensemble, consisting of flute, bandoneon and piano. The bandoneon, an iconic instrument of the Argentine tango, blends harmoniously with the baroque repertoire, adding a vibrant and engaging dimension to the concert. Its warm and rich timbre, combined with its ability to perform fast and flowing melodies, makes it a versatile and exciting instrument for this repertoire.

Performers
The musicians, trained in the best international academies and with a profound knowledge of the Venetian baroque school, will propose a repertoire spanning two centuries of musical history, offering compositions that evoke the rich tradition of the Argentine tango of which Astor Piazzolla was one of the greatest interpreters.

Programm
The concert will open with Albinoni's solemn Trio Sonata, which introduces the listener to an atmosphere of elegance and refinement, evoking the sumptuous Venetian residences of the time. Moving on, Marcello's Sonata highlights his ability to combine the elegance and majesty of Venetian Baroque with deep emotional expressiveness. Vivaldi's Concerto in G minor transports us through a range of vibrant emotions, immersing us in the lively atmosphere of the Venetian canals and piazzas. In this exciting evening, Argentinian tangos will take centre stage, transporting the audience on a captivating journey through the streets of Buenos Aires. From timeless classics such as 'La Cumparsita' by Gerardo Matos Rodríguez, which evokes the pulsating soul of the city's historic cafés, to the famous 'Por una cabeza' by Carlos Gardel and Alfredo Le Pera, a tango steeped in nostalgia and passion, each piece will immerse us in the irresistible charm of the Argentine tango, bringing a wind of emotion and vitality straight from the land of tango to the majestic setting of Palazzo Zeno.

Zeno Palace
Before the beginning of the concert, it will be possible to visit the Courtyard and the Gardens and ascend to the upper floor via the staircase of the lions ('Scalone dei Leoncini'), wto visit the rooms and Main Hall of the Piano Nobile.

The entrance ticket includes the annual membership card of the 'I Musici Patavini' association, which grants access to the concert and provides other special discounts reserved for members. Please provide ID copy at the entrance for the issue of the card.
