Utopia, Teodor Currentzis at Philharmonie Berlin
Berlin, Philharmonie Berlin — Grosser Saal
About the Event
Teodor Currentzis, considered an icon of modern music and theater, has captivated audiences with his groundbreaking interpretations of works from Beethoven to Bruckner and Mahler, from Tchaikovsky to Shostakovich. In 2022, he launched a new project: an international orchestra named 'Utopia.' This innovative ensemble, comprised of soloists and concertmasters from various orchestras, aims to create a unique creative community focused on achieving the best sound and true spirit of the musical work. "We dispense with the familiar and take a leap into the new," says Currentzis. "The idea is utopian, of course. Our dreams can only come true if we lift the ban on the impossible. Utopia is about creating the impossible."
